Why DIY?

Posted on August 23, 2015 at 9:35 PM
Well, why not?
There are many reasons we choose to do things ourselves. One of the biggest reasons is the feeling of self satisfaction when we accomplish something on our own. Whether it's putting together a grill by yourself at home instead of buying one already assembled, or creating your jewelry or accessories, knowing you made something with your own hands is one of the best feelings one can experience.

Sometimes we DIY out of necessity [DIY GoPro Surfboard Mount], sometimes to express our creativity [DIY Rubiks Cube Head Phones], or simply because we'd like to save money [DIY GoPro Handler].

It's been a little over one year since I made my impromptu GoPro surfboard mount for my trip to Hawaii, and about 10 months since I uploaded my first DIY Giveaways & Tutorials video to YouTube. Over the years, I've saved lots of time and money doing things my self after researching the internet and watching videos. I've learned how to change a motor mount on a car, refinish hardwood floors, and even bake a French apple tart, to name a few. Well, I figured it was time to give back to the DIY community and that's why I've started this journey.

What sets DIY G & T apart from the others? Not only will I be showing you how I make my things, but you'll have a chance to win one of the giveways projects. Keep in mind that not all projects are giveaways [DIY Pallet Table, California Burrito, Brownie Fruit Pizza], but I do aim at making mostly giveaways.

If you made it this far into my page, thank you for your interest.  I hope that if you stick around, you get to learn useful DIY tips and tricks, win one of my giveaways, and be inspired to create.

Until next time.
